Frequently Asked
Questions
What is remanufacturing?
Remanufacturing is the process of restoring a product to new condition. This means that all components are checked and remanufactured, and any component that cannot be remanufactured is replaced with a new one. Remanufacturing provides a higher level of quality and performance. A new product is a brand-new part, often a replacement for an original part. A remanufactured product is reproduced from an existing part (core) using standardised industrial processes to defined technical specifications.
A remanufactured part carries the same warranty as a new part and is of the same quality.
What is the warranty period?
All RIVOLV remanufactured products are guaranteed for 24 months.
What is the deposit?
It is the value of the core expressed in PLN, which is added to the price of the product in the event that the customer purchasing a remanufactured product does not return the old part removed from the car or returns it in a condition that does not meet the acceptance criteria (damaged core). For example, an alternator costs PLN 250, a deposit for returning the dismantled part is PLN 50. A customer ordered an alternator for PLN 250, disassembled it and returned the old part, for which a deposit of PLN 50 was returned. In the actual settlement, the customer incurred the cost of purchasing the alternator in the amount of PLN 200.
What is the core?
It is a dismantled part from the car, which can be accepted by the distributor when buying a remanufactured product and its price is reduced by returning the core deposit. The returned dismantled part (core) should be equivalent to the “remanufactured product” purchased and it is advisable to deliver it in the packaging of the unit purchased. Only a part that is complete and not disassembled can be accepted.
How do I return a core?
To return a core, contact the point of sale where the remanufactured product was purchased with a deposit.
What is the deadline for returning a core?
150 days from the date of purchase of the remanufactured product.
What if the original packaging is missing?
The core should be returned in the packaging of the product purchased. If it is missing, it is acceptable to return it in what is known as replacement packaging.
Where can I find the Core Return Policy?
The full Core Return Policy can be found at Inter Cars Research and Development Center.
Where can I buy a remanufactured product?
In the Inter Cars distribution network or in the network of affiliated garages.
What should I pay particular attention to when dismantling an old part (core in a vehicle)?
Special care must be taken not to damage the part (core) during disassembly, as any mechanical damage or signs of tampering will disqualify the core deposit from being refunded when a remanufactured product is purchased.
What is a factory remanufactured product?
A factory remanufactured product meets the standards of a new product, i.e. it has undergone a multi-stage quality control process and comes with a 2-year warranty.
How much can I save by buying a remanufactured product?
By buying a remanufactured product and returning the equivalent old part (core), you can save 50% of the price or more.
